ATTENTION!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

Saturday, March 14, 2020

We would like to address concerns related to COVID-19 Virus. Firstly, health and safety of our members is our number one priority. After speaking with division reps, host location owners, and players, we’ve decided to continue with league play as scheduled for the time being. However, we realize that this is a very fluid situation and our stance could change quickly. We won’t hesitate to postpone or cancel league play if there’s heightened risk. We will continue to closely monitor and will communicate promptly. FYI - APA League play has been suspended in Seattle, Washington (DC), and parts of California where the virus is more prevalent. Having said all that, ultimately the decision is yours, if you do not feel safe attending league play, stay home. We do ask that you notify your team Captain. We will allow more double ups (regardless of amount you have already played) and makeup matches. We also ask that you educate yourselves on the subject, don’t believe everything you read on social media, don’t blindly absorb what the mainstream news is feeding you. Educate yourself and understand the risks. Regarding the 2020 Poolplayers Championships, at this time the 2020 PPC is still “a go” for the end of April. It is far enough away that the APA will make a more educated decision in the coming weeks. The Jack & Jill Tournament is still scheduled for Saturday March 28th. The entry forms will be in this week’s folder!
